What is self-storage?
Self-storage is a unique, practical, and affordable solution for all of your household and business-related storage needs.  You rent the amount a space that’s right for you – whether it’s a small, closet-size space or a large, garage-size space.  You rent on a month-to-month basis so there’s no long-term commitment.  And best of all, you put your own lock on the room so no one else has access to your belongings, then come and go when it’s convenient for you.

What sizes do you rent and how do I choose the right size?
We offer a variety of storage room sizes to accommodate your needs, ranging from 5x5 (25 sq. ft.) to 10x30 (300 sq. ft.) and larger, all with a minimum 8-ft. ceiling height.  The Sizes/Prices page will help you determine the size that’s right for your needs, or you can speak with one of our management professionals who will be happy to assist you.

What is climate control?
Although there isn’t a definitive answer to this question, industry standard is to maintain a temperature in the range of 55 to 85 degrees, which helps protect your stored belongings from extreme temperature swings and provides a comfortable environment for customers, especially during winter months in the Northeast.  Most importantly, our facility is 100% climate controlled so all of our customers enjoy this added benefit!

Do you offer services for household and business customers?

Do you offer RV/boat/car/motorcycle storage?
Although we don’t offer outside parking spaces, we do rent some (climate controlled) drive-up storage rooms that are ideal for cars, motorcycles, small campers, boats, and other heavy/large equipment.

 

What is a drive-up storage room?
A drive-up storage room is a ground-level space along the exterior of the building, with its own overhead door, that gives you the ability to load your belongings directly from a vehicle or truck.

 

When can I access my storage room?
For your convenience, storage rooms can be accessed from 7am to 7pm, 365 days a year.  You simply punch in your code at one of the keypads outside our three loading areas to gain access, and then proceed to your storage room – the lights turn on automatically!  Drive-up storage rooms are accessible 24 hours per day, 365 days a year.

 

What's the difference between office hours and access hours?
Office hours are the hours that the Rental Office is open for business, during which management staff is available to assist customers and sell moving/packing supplies.  Access hours are the hours that customers are permitted into the building so they can access their storage rooms.

 

Are there moving carts available?
Because most of our storage rooms are accessible from inside the building, we have complimentary 4-wheel carts available in all of the loading areas so you don’t have to carry anything to/from your storage room.

 

Can anybody enter the facility?
Absolutely not!  Our state-of-the-art security system allows only customers with a valid access code to gain entry into the facility.  Customers must also enter their code when exiting the facility so we can monitor exactly who’s in the building at all times.

What kind of security do you offer?
Security is our TOP priority, which is why our state-of-the-art security system features computerized access control, digital video surveillance, well-lit loading areas and hallways, an intercom-paging system, a burglar alarm system, individual door alarms (drive-up storage rooms only), and professional on-site management to keep an eye on things during office hours.

 

Is there video surveillance?
Our state-of-the-art security system features complete video camera coverage of the grounds and the loading/elevator areas within the facility.  The video images are then stored digitally on our computer system so we can monitor who is coming onto the property and entering the building.

 

Is there pest control?
We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of the facility, including a preventive maintenance program with a professional pest control service provider.  For more details about this program, please speak with one of our management professionals.

 

Do you provide a lock when I rent a storage room?
You’re responsible to provide your own lock and to maintain control of the key/s.  We encourage customers to bring an existing lock when they rent a storage room to avoid the added expense, but we also offer a variety of padlocks as part of our complete line of moving/packing supplies and recommend purchasing a “disc lock” to ensure the highest level of security.

 

Do you sell boxes and other moving/packing supplies?
We sell a complete line of moving/packing supplies at competitive prices and we offer discounts to our storage customers.

 

Do you rent moving trucks?
Although we don’t rent moving trucks/vans on the premises, there are reliable rental companies nearby that we can refer you to upon request.

 

Do you offer moving services?
Because the very nature of self-storage is do-it-yourself, our employees aren’t permitted to move/handle customer belongings.  However, for your convenience we can refer you to professional and affordable moving companies in the local area who would be happy to provide you a quote for their services.

 

Do I need to reserve a storage room in advance?
Although we recommend reserving or renting a room on line and/or calling in advance , it’s NOT required.  You are welcome to visit the facility, rent a room, or purchase moving/packing supplies anytime during our regular office hours.

 

What are the terms when I rent a storage room?
Rental of a self-storage room is month-to-month, which gives you the flexibility of renting for as little as one month or as long as needed.  A Rental Agreement is completed/executed when you first come in to rent, at which time we explain the terms and conditions in detail.  Rent is due on the first of every month – if you move in prior to the 15th, your rent is prorated to the 1st of the next month; if you move in after the 15th, your rent is prorated the first of the following month.  We are more than happy to explain the terms and conditions in more detail upon request.

 

Do I need insurance for my belongings that are put into storage?
Insurance is the customer’s responsibility whenever a self-storage room is rented and we strongly recommend that you contact your insurance agent to ensure that you are covered in a self-storage facility.  If not, we have brochures available in the Rental Office for coverage available through a third-party company that specializes in self-storage insurance.

 

Do you accept credit cards?
We accept major credit cards, including MasterCard®, Visa®, Discover®, and American Express®.  We can also set you up on our automatic credit card billing program so you don’t have to worry about paying rent every month.  Please ask for details about this valuable program.

 

Can I rent a storage room on line?
Yes.  You can reserve a room or rent on line.  Please note: If you rent on line, you must check in at the Rental Office to complete some paperwork and receive your access code.

 

Can I pay my rent on line?
We offer our customers the added flexibility of paying rent online and modifying account information via the Customer Log-In page.

 

Do you offer pre-pay discounts?
Because we value our long-term customers, we offer two pre-payment discounts: customers who pay 6 months in advance receive the 7th at half-price; customers who pay 11 months in advance receive the 12th month free.  Please notify one of our management professionals if you’re interested in taking advantage of this discount program.
